ABOUT MICHELLE MULLER

I am currently leading the Data & Tools Team within our Commercial & Specialty Pricing Department. My team supports data flows and builds tools to serve our rate revision teams for our suite of small business, farm/ranch, habitational, and personal lines specialty products. Most recently, I managed a small team in Personal Property Pricing focused on our East Region book of business. In addition to planning an executing the rate revision plans for my team, I completed a deep dive of our hurricane peril pricing and proposed a new pricing process to be launched in all hurricane peril states. As an associate actuary working in Loss Reserving, my reserving responsibilities were primarily focused on our Homeowners lines of business. I also lead the development of a standardized loss reserving data repository for the enterprise, working with actuaries across our organization. In my first role with AmFam Group, I worked in Personal Auto Pricing. I completed regular rate revision work and also led the companywide roll-outs for new business discounts and a package of new endorsement offerings. At CNA Insurance, I held roles as an actuarial analyst on both the reserving and pricing teams within the Long Term Care division. I took on responsibilities leading reserve review meetings and managing our Third Party Administrator, which provided invaluable experience early on in my career. My internship was at Trustmark Insurance Companies, where I conducted analyses on stop-loss products for the Managed Care department. I have a B.A. in Actuarial Science from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. During my final year at UWEC, I conducted research on Lattice Point Geometry with Dr. aBa Mbirika. We presented our results at JMM in Seattle, WA, NCUWM in Lincoln, NE, and USTARS in Huntsville, TX.
