I am a licensed attorney and have been certified by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics as a Compliance and Ethics Professional. I have deep expertise in the law, legislative and judicial processes and procedures, organizational culture, and ethics and compliance risks that companies around the world encounter.I am currently the Director of Business Affairs and Compliance at Associated Students UCLA, a student-centered organization that provides innovative and exceptional services, programs, products and facilities for the entire UCLA community. As such, I function as a senior member of ASUCLA\'s executive management team. I work closely with the CEO to coordinate the policy and legal affairs of the Association, and act as the organization’s advisor on all legal, compliance and policy-related issues. I also oversee the development and execution of all RFPs and contracts with the campus and other business entities; and play a key role in on-campus and third party negotiations and deal structuring.Additionally, I oversee three of ASUCLA’s operating divisions. I have overall responsibility for the Human Resources/Payroll Division. As such, I ensure that the division is in full compliance with all applicable laws and University policy; manage all employee discipline, Title IX investigations, grievances and regulatory disputes; and lead training and cultural initiatives. I also have overall responsibility for the organization\'s Licensing and Trademark Division, including the execution of both domestic and international legal agreements, and oversight of the execution of licensing strategies worldwide.I also have overall responsibility for ASUCLA’s Security and Loss Prevention Division. As such, I work with the University and other stakeholders to develop and facilitate the implementation of legal and organizational policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment with quality asset protection.
