About Michelle Moya Aceves

Hello! I’m currently a senior at Rice University majoring in Computer Science, minoring in Data Science and completing a Chinese Certificate. I am currently looking for a full-time position as a Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, Tech Consultant, or Software Engineer.This summer I worked at Microsoft as a Technical Program Manager Intern where I worked on internal tools to automate and sync my teams\' issue Management and Feature Request System. I facilitated cross-team development, presented solutions to leadership and led a proof of concept alongside senior engineers and PMs.Last summer I worked at Chevron as a Software Engineering Intern where I worked on Power Platforms and pulling Data into the Data Lake via API calls. The summer before that, I studied abroad in Taiwan and practiced my Mandarin. I also currently work in the Office of the Dean of Humanities at Rice where I use technology and data science to help the Humanities plan for funding and promote interdisciplinary classes and majors.On campus, I serve as the External Vice President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers where I work with corporate sponsors to host professional development events for our members and also raise money to send 30+ students to the SHPE National Conference. I have served as Outreach Chair and Treasurer for Rice Design for the past two year.Due to my passion for building a design community at Rice and supporting current designers on campus, I spearheaded and raised funds for the organization’s first design competition last fall. In addition, I TAed for (COMP 215) Intro to Program Design last year.
