ABOUT MICHELLE MCKENZIE-DOLLY

My life’s joy is supporting others to reach their fullest potential, whether it’s in my role as a coach, mentor, educator, human services leader, human resources professional or as a relative or friend.I have been blessed with numerous opportunities to observe that transformation from despair to hope, in individuals and teams, in my over 20 years experience, within the Human Services Sector, internationally and in Canada. The greatest asset of any organization is its people. As transformational leader, I posses the skills to engage diverse employee populations, and inspire them to perform beyond expectations. In 2019, I developed an Employee Care Office (ECO) at Metrolinx as another layer of support for employees, as they face life’s challenges. The ECO was identified as one of the top programs that were instrumental, in Metrolinx receiving a Toronto Top Employer Award, in 2021.I believe in the power of community development and volunteerism, and currently serve as the Vice President, of the 58 years old, Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA), Toronto, and as the Liaison Officer on the Executive Board of its sister organization, Caribbean, African Canadian Social Services (CAFCAN). I am also an active member of the Montego Bay High School, Alumni Association, Toronto Chapter and recently launched an Alumni Association for Kew Park Primary School, in Westmoreland, Jamaica. At the JCA, I support the internal operations of the organization, holding responsibility for the Building; Education; Human Resources; Membership; Seniors; Women and Youth Committees. I also support all fundraising activities and special events. One of my greatest assets, is my ability to network and foster the development of high performing teams. I was recognized by the JCA, as an Outstanding Volunteer and received the International Women’s Day and the President’s Award in 2020Areas of Excellence: Career Planning and Development; Employee Relations; Facilitation; Group/Team Dynamics and Coaching
