Create relationships with present volunteers and present church partners • Grow volunteer base and church partners• Reach out to community through event planning and mailers• Oversee feedback from website about any questions and volunteer inquiries• Work directly with the Program Director on special projects from interviewing incarcerated potential residents for our transitional house to overseeing volunteer teachers and organizing curriculumWAS PREVIOUSLY TEACHING COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR WITH TPOM AND PROMOTED TO PRESENT POSITION• Present CBIP lessons on a daily basis • Create and research more in-depth information for curriculum on an as needed basis, per the topics that the clients may require more of an understanding on a certain issue • Establish order, rules and respect for leadership and fellow clients• Maintain reports on a monthly basis required by the TDOC• Provide characteristics which include the communication of genuine warmth and empathy • Create a strong alliance with students, recognizing how beneficial in and of itself, and that a person may find a well-established alliance therapeutic regardless of other psychological interventions • Integrate the therapeutic and correctional roles in delivering lessons
