About Michelle Johnson
My journey in finance is approaching its third decade, beginning with my initial role at First Data. Following this, I spent five fulfilling years in banking at Commercial Federal Bank, now known as \"BMO,\" where I delved into mortgage origination and becoming well-versed in personal credit and various investor guidelines. In I seized an exciting opportunity at PayPal (formerly X.com) as one of the original employees in Omaha. This experience allowed me to contribute to the growth of a nascent company into an international Fortune 500 entity. Over the years at PayPal, I held diverse roles in areas across risk and commercial underwriting. Relocating to the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area in 2013, I transitioned into commercial underwriting for the utilities sector with Liberty Power. After a year, circumstances led me back to Omaha, where I resumed my role at PayPal. In 2018, I embraced a new challenge as a Senior Underwriter in the factoring industry, finding fulfillment in this role until the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, which impacted the business. Subsequently, I embarked on a new adventure in the non-profit sector with the Nebraska Enterprise Fund, where I am excited to contribute my expertise and make a meaningful difference in underserved communities across Nebraska and Southwest Iowa.INFJ and Top 5 Strengths are: Responsibility, Harmony, Connectedness, Input and Belief.
