About Michelle Gonzalez-Basin
I’m a University of Miami graduate with a dual degree in Business Management and Psychology, and I’m currently pursuing my M.S.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Miami.My experience includes both clinical support and research-focused work. As a Registered Behavioral Technician, I provided one-on-one ABA interventions for children with Autism, collected behavioral data, and documented progress through daily communication notes. I also completed an internship with Buddi for Psych, a mental health-focused startup, where I supported students during moments of vulnerability and strengthened my skills in active listening, crisis support, and empathetic communication.In addition, I’ve worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant on multiple University of Miami projects, contributing to literature reviews, data entry and auditing, outreach efforts, and maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in clinical research settings. I’m also fluent in Spanish and value culturally responsive communication in everything I do.I’m passionate about mental health and dedicated to learning through meaningful, hands-on experiences. I’m especially interested in opportunities that involve client support, counseling, behavioral health, and research, where I can continue building my skills while contributing to a mission-driven team.
