About Michelle Diaz
I am often teased for my shoe addiction, but I wear it as a badge of honor. A woman can never have too many shoes, right? I started my family in my early 20\'s and today I have 5 beautiful children, 2 beautiful bonus children, and 5 grandchildren. As my children became older, I realized that I had to do something to improve my skills and my worth in the workplace. I couldn\'t continue to support my family on the salary I was making. Without blinking an eye, I enrolled in a Bachelor\'s program in Business Information Systems. I continued to work full time and raise my children with family support. The hard work paid off and I graduated in my 8 month of pregnancy with my 5th child. The marketplace started changing and the children became teenagers. I still had aspirations to be much more than what I was. I wanted to be a role model for my growing teenagers and show them that hard work doesn\'t kill anyone. My next life decision was to further my education and enroll in an MBA program. This proved to be one of the best decisions I\'ve made in my life. It gave me the tools and knowledge that has gotten me to where I am today. I have found my home with Arrington Watkins Architects, we are an awesome company that appreciates and acknowledges hard work and dedication. We value our employees and encourage them to grow and develop. As a Principal with Arrington Watkins Architects I lead the Business Management department. I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm’s business. Working closely with all Principals/leadership team, I manage the finances, human resources, insurance, contracts and general office operations. My financial knowledge and leadership have proven to be integral to the firm and I pride myself on the strong relations I have built with both our employees and clients.
