I’m a passionate community builder and strategic leader dedicated to driving economic equity and cultural vitality in East Harlem. As Chief Community Engagement & Economic Affairs Officer at Union Settlement, I lead high impact initiatives that promote small business growth, cultural preservation, and community wealth. I’ve tripled our department’s budget, directed over in funding to local businesses, and created the Emmy-winning On the Map campaign to spotlight East Harlem’s entrepreneurial spirit. I’ve launched signature initiatives like East Harlem for the Holidays, the Taste of East Harlem fundraiser, and a business attraction program designed to build local economic resilience. My work also includes leading revitalization along the 116th Street corridor and developing a vision for a future cultural and theater district in El Barrio. My focus: aligning strategic investment with the heartbeat of the community so that progress doesn’t come at the expense of identity, but is fueled by it.
