ABOUT MICHELLE CHOW

Experienced in delivering impactful solutions at the intersection of sustainability, business, and technology, I am dedicated to driving positive change in the corporate world. With a diverse background spanning food services, academia, and management consulting, I bring a unique perspective to every challenge I tackle.I have five years of experience in customer service through multiple jobs in the food service industry, spanning from being a barista to the front of the house. At BDO\'s management consulting division, I played a pivotal role as the pioneer in the digital advisory realm, spearheading AI-driven solutions to address complex client challenges. Currently, as an Sustainability Reporting and Assurance Experienced Associate at PwC, I am committed to advancing environmental, social, and governance initiatives across industries. By integrating sustainability into business practices, we empower organizations to thrive in a rapidly changing world while making a positive impact on society.Outside of my professional endeavors, I am deeply engaged with the University of Waterloo community. Recognized as a recipient of the SAF Fellowship which is granted to the top 15 incoming students in the School of Accounting and Finance. As the Chair of the Board of the Sustainability and Financial Management Student Organization, I lead initiatives that promote sustainability education and awareness among students - I continue to give back to my community by teaching first year students the introductory course of sustainable business. Additionally, as an official ambassador for the School of Accounting and Finance, I represent our institution at various events and platforms across Ontario, advocating for the intersection of finance and sustainability.
