Oversees the department’s National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) training programs and manages the National Capital Region Incident Management Team (NCR-IMT) program.* Serves as the FRD Training Manager for the National Incident Management System/Incident Command System(NIMS/ICS) training.* Serves as the department’s point of contact and liaison for multiagency exercises that require FRD participation, to include appropriate staffing participation, coaching/mentoring and contributing with the after-action report.* Maintains a database to track and assure that required FRD personnel maintain required levels of NIMS/ICS training for participation in Emergency Operations Center activations.* Coordinates the FRD planning process for large special training events and performs interagency planning for large scale training exercises.As the NCR-IMT Program Manager:* Coordinates the NCR-IMT based on input from the NCR-IMT’s Steering Committee, to include:* Facilitates high level multijurisdictional planning meetings.* Develops and manages the team’s training program.* Develops and manages the team’s budget.* Development and management of UASI and SHSP Grants.* Management of the team’s equipment cache.* Management of the team’s administrative documentation.* Management of the team’s contracting to facilitate training and exercises.* Preparation of deployment documentation.* Organizes deployments of personnel to local, state, and national events and emergencies * Assists Fairfax County Fiscal Services Division with reconciliation of all time, equipment, and travel records for all NCR-IMT training and deployments.* Coordinates with local, state, and federal partners to develop relationships and provide training and deployment opportunities for team members.
