ABOUT MICHELLE BRANDT
I am one fierce wife and mom, working to make the South Carolina a better place to live for everyone. As a 2022 recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, I bring my extensive community service experience and connections as I serve the Lowcountry in my current capacity as a Community Organizer for Planned Parenthood South Atlantic.I am passionate about increasing civic engagement among women and minorities. I model initiative, hope and service through my leadership as 3rd Vice Chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party & as a Commissioner/ Secretary Treasurer of Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission (just to name a few things). In 2022, this passion resulted in participation and completion of the Civic Leaders Academy at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. As a Civic Leader, I learned the intricacies of running for an elected office, and the non-elected ways one can serve the Lowcountry. This subsequently empowered my run for the for the SC State House in the 114th District the same year. As a candidate, I cultivated and maintained meaningful relationships with many influential people in various, respected political organizations.
