Michelle Bimson Maggi is Vice President Risk, Safety and Corporate Affairs for Ferrellgas, the country’s second largest propane marketer. In her current role, Michelle is a member of the Ferrellgas senior executive management team and leads Ferrellgas\' Public Affairs efforts where she works to execute on Ferrellgas\' strategies by building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and policy makers. She is responsible for federal and state legislative matters, government and industry affairs and advocacy. Michelle also leads the company\'s Risk, Safety, Communications and Investor Relations teams. Michelle joined Ferrellgas in 2024 after spending seventeen years at UGI Corporation and its subsidiary AmeriGas Propane, where she was Vice President - Law at AmeriGas. She advised the Company on all legal, risk, industry and political matters. Michelle was also one of the founding members of AmeriGas’ Women’s Impact Network (WIN), which aims to develop and promote women at AmeriGas and in the overall energy industry. Michelle is actively engaged and a recognized leader in the propane industry. In 2019, she became an Officer and member of the Executive Committee of the National Propane Gas Association, the propane industry’s leading national trade association. In this capacity, Michelle champions for business friendly laws and regulations, diversity & inclusion, and safety related issues within the industry. In June 2022, Michelle became the first female Chairman in the association’s history. Prior to joining UGI Corporation and AmeriGas, Michelle worked as an associate in two national law firms specializing in civil and corporate litigation.
