ABOUT MICHELLE BANKS

I first worked within Payroll in the late 80\'s, inputting hours for shift workers at McVities manually on to a bespoke Payroll Software. Adjustments were calculated manually, and cash was paid out in pay packets, and one of my jobs was to create the plates used to print the clock cards. I have gained ATT and CIPP qualifications, and most recently have passed the CMI\'s Level 5 in Leadership and Management vocational qualification. My aim is be a positive influence and role model in any activities or roles that I take on, while providing a World Class Service to clients (both internal and external), building strong relationships based on professionalism, honesty, confidentiality and a can do attitude. In my current role as Academy Coach I enjoy bringing new people in to ADP and the payroll world and sharing my enjoyment of it. As a manager I ensure that they are focused and understand how they are expected to behave once they graduate from the academy. Once they grow and move on to new roles or become known for their expertise in their current role, there is a definite sense of pride. I believe in a strength based work culture, such as that which is being rolled out within ADP currently and am a StandOut facilitator, advocating this in as many discussions as I can. I am a fair but firm team leader and enjoy adjusting my style to get the best from each team member. My focus is on championing professional and consistent good service with other departments, as well as clients. My strength is to bring people together and build strong working relationships, both with internal and external contacts. I also organise events for all service associates, at all locations, coordinating presentations, activities, facilities, accommodation etc. I am proud to work at ADP mostly in how I am able to influence our Social Responsibility as a company. I am heavily involved with our Community Matters team fostering relationships with organisations we can volunteer for and also actively fundraising for our chosen charities. Coming from a family who serve in the military going back generations and my husband was a Royal Engineer, I enjoy advocating ADP\'s support for our armed forces, veterans and reservists. I am privileged to lead ADPs UK Military Business Resource Group and have been involved with workshops and encouraging more involvement across the business as part of our involvement and support of the Armed Forces Covenant for employers. This is something which I look forward to investing more time in, in the future.
