ABOUT MICHELLA DAWRA

I received my Bachelor\'s degree in General Chemistry from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Sciences, Section II (ULFSII) in July 2014, in Fanar, Lebanon. In September 2016, I completed my Master\'s degree in Technology of Perfumes, Cosmetics, and Dyes from the same institution. Since September 2018, I have been pursuing my Ph.D. at Paul Sabatier University, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in Toulouse, France. I successfully defended my thesis on October 14th, 2021, with excellence, and was awarded my Ph.D. with the highest distinction. During my doctoral studies, I focused on characterizing medicinal plants for their chemical composition using various analytical techniques and assessed their biological activities through spectrophotometric analysis.My educational background, combined with my research experience, has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of various fields in chemistry, enabling me to approach diverse chemical disciplines. In 2024, I joined the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle, where I currently work on the chemical profiling (extraction, fractionation, purification, and isolation) of secondary metabolites in cyanobacterial strains using UHQPLC/HRMS and 1D-2D NMR and genome mining approach with a particular focus on Microcystis strains, alongside various toxicological tests.
