ABOUT MICHELE GERACE

Lawyer with a strong background in compliance, institutional relations, and public affairs. At work, I deal with innovation, law, and public policy; outside, with the fascinating challenge of being human and technological by definition. I combine a deep understanding of the European regulatory landscape with a strategic, analytical approach to turning complexity into direction and execution. Skilled in bridging business, regulatory, and market perspectives, I align cross-functional teams and build trusted relationships that drive results. Curious, collaborative, and adaptable, I navigate fast-changing environments with clarity and purpose. Beyond the office, I create and lead cultural and scientific outreach initiatives, from cultural productions to civic engagement projects, with meaningful social and cultural impact. Currently, I work in Group Compliance at Nexi, where I contribute to the design and implementation of group-wide policies in key regulatory areas, fostering a common compliance framework and managing information flows. Previously at Nexi, I worked in Public Affairs with a focus on Italy and the EU, managing institutional relations with national authorities and European institutions and leading stakeholder engagement activities. Before that, at SIA, I served as Legal Compliance and Regulatory Affairs manager. Earlier in my career, I held senior roles in the Lazio Regional Council, where I was responsible for EU compliance matters, as well as interim Head of the Council of Local Authorities and the Office managing cultural contributions of social relevance. With a legal background, I began my career as a lawyer and later coordinated legislative offices in the parliamentary context.
