About Michele Vachon

I am passionate about making a difference in the world we live in and the world our children will inherit. Tackling the complex challenges of climate change and decarbonizing “tough to decarbonize” industries is what energizes me to bring my unique blend of creativity, data analytics, and scientific insight to my work in ESG.As a resilient, big-picture thinker, I approach environmental challenges with curiosity from a bioregional and ecoregional perspective, seeing how every layer of an organization—from top to bottom—can contribute to climate resilience. I am known for guiding organizations to enhance their reputation and for being an engaging networker who brings together unlikely partnerships. I bring ideas to life through strategy, shaping initiatives that drive impactful changes within organizations and in their relationship to the built environment. Collaboration and communication are my core strengths. I effective network with and naturally connect diverse partners to tackle complex problems and amplify environmental impact. Mentorship is equally important to me, as I enjoy working with students and interns in environmental and civil fields to prepare them for meaningful careers. As a visual thinker and doer at heart, I have a deep love for learning and design and am especially passionate about developing creative scripts for employee training and development, with new hire orientations being my personal favorite. When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying a glass of wine, playing the piano, traveling, or spending time with family and friends in the mountains—my happy place. I’m inspired by historic visionaries like Jane Jacobs, Frederick Law Olmsted, Florence Knoll, Ray Eames, Aldo Leopold, William McDonough, Eero Saarinen, and Rachel Carson, who remind me that big ideas, when woven into strategic action, can truly transform our world.
