I am a senior executive with over 30 years of multi-functional leadership experience in the Clean Energy industry, spanning a breadth of roles in business unit P&L, Finance, Risk, Internal Audit, Regulatory & Political Affairs. I am currently VP of Regulatory & Political Affairs for NextEra Energy Resources (NEER), the world’s largest wind and solar energy provider, leading external affairs activities that support their business performance and growth. Prior to this, I headed NEER’s South Region with full P&L accountability for their portfolio of assets across multiple US states with a firm focus on operational excellence and cost management. This followed over two years as Chief Risk Officer for First Wind Energy, a start-up in the renewables space, and an earlier career with NextEra Energy as VP of Trading & Risk Management, and in finance and internal audit roles. My formative career was spent with Deloitte & Touche, where I gained my CPA qualification (now dormant).• Corporate Strategy -> Business GrowthI have a strong track record of driving sustainable business growth, as a key contributor to corporate strategy, and risk management committees, drawing on my deep front-to-back understanding of business operations in the renewables sector. • Business Change -> Continuous ImprovementI lead large-scale transformational change; highlights include operational excellence programs that generate multi-billion dollar savings, and development of robust finance and risk management frameworks.• Culture & Talent -> DEII build high-performance teams across functions and geographies, fostering a culture of accountability and responsibility. As a co-executive sponsor of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives, I aim to drive authentic, meaningful change.• Renewable EnergyI chair and participate in multiple industry fora, representing NEER as a thought-leader and key contributor to the most significant issues in the clean energy space.
