   SpartanNash, Omaha, NELead Load Planner 03/2003-PRESENT• Key customer accounts/main point of contact for, Armour, John Morrell, and Cargill• Determine the most efficient and economical route using driver payable rate and customer billable rates. • Oversee pickup and delivery appointments and ensure driver ability to execute such based on driver hours and transit time.• Route and dispatch dedicated drivers for loads using transportation management systems.• Negotiate with customers on contract rates and on spot quote basis, insuring profitability on all miles traveled.• Negotiate with drivers on driver base pay, driver stop pay, fuel surcharge (FCS) and driver routes.• Manage dedicated drivers to ensure continuous movements, in and outside of network, while meeting service expectations and complying with DOT regulations. • Manage and monitor empty miles to reduce non-revenue miles.• Ensure driver and company compliance to all DOT regulations and hours of service (HOS) regulations and requirements. • Oversee and assist with data entry for fleet movement ensuring accuracy for driver reporting, customer reporting.• Review P&L, ensuring profitable load planning, increase of revenue by truck, cost of equipment for driver performance.• Work daily in Microsoft Office, Excel, Sterling, Internet Truck Stop and Get Loaded.• Continued relationships with customers, brokers and drivers
