ABOUT MICHELE RITONDO

I began my professional career with Elbana di Navigazione, where I cultivated a deep passion for shipbuilding, maritime operations, and safety. Over the years, I have acquired extensive experience both at sea and ashore, including dry dock operations, vessel management, and safety procedures. My proficiency in English, strengthened through service on board and formal training at the EC School in Toronto, has allowed me to operate confidently in international environments. Beyond commercial shipping, I have had the privilege to work with yachts and the prestigious sailing vessel Signora del Vento, experiences that broadened my technical expertise and strengthened my adaptability to different maritime contexts. Currently, I manage a family-owned residence of villas in Sicily, where I oversee daily operations, coordinate staff, and ensure high service standards. This role has further enhanced my leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, allowing me to deliver excellent results while maintaining a collaborative and motivating work environment. I am also a founding member of COSMAR (the Committee for the Protection of the Professional Dignity of Seafarers), through which I actively contribute to promoting and safeguarding the rights and recognition of maritime professionals. I am passionate about continuous growth and always open to new challenges that allow me to combine my technical maritime expertise, managerial skills, and strong leadership qualities.
