ABOUT MICHELE MALEJKI
Michele is a media-trained, multi-lingual executive with leadership experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. She is currently the Global Head of Social Impact for HP, Inc. and Executive Director of the HP Foundation, a role which sees her accelerate the future of work for the organization through business as well as philanthropy. In 2023, Michele and her team received the inaugural TIME \"Team of the Year\" award.Her Advisory Board Roles include serving the HP Foundation, UN Women\'s Global Innovation Coalition for Change, the President\'s Council of Cornell Women, the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Private Sector Advisory Group, and the Save the Children’s Council Action Team Gender Equality.Michele was selected to be the Sustainability Director for the ClimateForce: Antarctica 2022 Expedition, led by renown explorer Robert Swan, OBE. In this leadership role, she delivered lectures and workshops on social impact and sustainability to over 120 leaders from the public, private and civil society sectors globally. In 2017, she was selected to participate in the Corporate Eco Forum’s \"Sustainability Leadership\" Program in the Cloud Forests of Ecuador. Michele previously worked at MIT Solve and the Clinton Global Initiative. Her international experience includes roles in Thailand and Malaysia at the Alliance for Financial Inclusion, and in Cambodia and Sub-Saharan Africa for One Acre Fund. She is proficient in English, Spanish and French; she is also proud to speak Khmer.Her career began in investment banking at JPMorgan, where she covered credit risk within the insurance sector.Michele holds a MSc in Sustainable Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London and a BSc in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
