ABOUT MICHELE LUGIAI

My favorite parts of my career are 1) enabling people to achieve their goals through the use of technology, and 2) empowering people in their career growth through mentorship, collaboration, and freedom to excel.I’m a transformational IT leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, people, and technology. Over the past 25+ years, I’ve led global teams, modernized enterprise systems, and guided organizations through complex digital transformations—across 40+ countries. I help organizations navigate complex change through technology. When people ask me “Can we…?” and “Is it possible…?” I say “with technology the answer is always ‘yes’.” And we can’t get to the ‘yes’ without people. People are an organization’s most important asset. I believe the IT team is a partner to business teams – we listen to what the business wants to achieve and guide them to the technology that will empower them to excel. Team cohesiveness, collaboration, and freedom are the core of a well-performing team. I build global teams by providing a safe space for people to lead, innovate, collaborate, grow, excel, and, yes, to fail. We learn by and celebrate our successes AND our failures. If we don’t try, we don’t fail. But we also don’t succeed. People bring diversity of experience and thought to innovative solutions. Everyone has a talent and passion that contributes to the team. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, the team grows and excels, as does each individual.
