ABOUT MICHELE KEYES

Open to new opportunities *I’ve worn many different hats in my career - to include Navy Chief, Sailor, Collaborator, Writer, Public Speaker, Mentor, Teacher, Advocate and Chairman. While my professional trade is technology the passion inside me is much different, I like being unconventional in the telling of one\'s story and influencing others to see their resilience. Why stick to a cookie cutter way of therapy (couch and office) when you\'re just not comfortable doing that?I want to take the lessons I\'ve learned throughout my military and turn use it to assist me in following my dreams of advocating and coaching those who struggle from their triggers from Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and PTSD. While trauma is now a part of their story, it is not it\'s entirety. One can overcome obstacles and learn ways of self care for resilience. I believe there needs to be more effort in bringing awareness and thinking outside of the box to reach to those in crisis and having suicidal thoughts. I\'m looking to take leap and find ways to take a chance in leaving what I\'ve been trained, technically, as an Information Security Analyst, and follow what my personal life experiences have prepared me for. helping fellow service members, specifically women veterans, find that there is a way to get out of the darkness of the past and to begin living in the present.
