Michele Haussmann started Land Use Solutions consulting firm to continue representing clients in the Austin and San Antonio metropolitan areas. She has twenty five years experience working in the land use and land development entitlements area of real estate development. After graduating from college, she worked with the City of Austin Development Review and Inspection Department, and the City of San Marcos Planning and Development Services Department. Prior to starting Land Use Solutions, Michele served as Director of Planning and Development for law firms in Austin.Michele represents clients in the land development entitlement process, including zoning, city code interpretations, neighborhood plan amendments, vested rights, and economic incentives. Her practice includes evaluating and securing approval of entitlements for projects in Austin and San Antonio, as well as many other municipalities in Texas. She has worked on all forms of residential, commercial and industrial developments that entailed complex environmental, transportation and drainage issues.She develops strategies and builds consensus with the community in connection with rezoning requests, economic incentives and development agreements, and all aspects of the permitting process to construct a project. She works with city councils, county commissioners courts, boards and commissions, governmental staff, environmental interest groups, neighborhood associations, and other stakeholders throughout the development and permitting process. Michele is a registered lobbyist with the City of Austin and City of San Antonio.
