About Michele Diecuch

I am the executive director of Leadership Greater Syracuse, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire current and future leaders to make a difference in the community where we live and work. My role includes organizational oversight, determining strategic direction, fiscal management, fundraising, marketing, and working with various community partners. Previous to my current position, I have worked in the nonprofit sector for almost my entire career, namely in the adult literacy/adult education space. Most recently, I enjoyed working as an independent consultant for nonprofits/adult education programs and professionals. Previously, I served as the Senior Director of Programs at ProLiteracy Worldwide where I oversaw an extensive portfolio of success overseeing membership programs, fundraising, marketing & promotions, community outreach, and people management functions for a worldwide adult literacy organization. As a strategic advisor, executive leader, and business consultant, I am poised to develop and cultivate active, engaged, and diverse committees, boards, donor relations, and networks of key stakeholders. Over my career, I have been instrumental in writing grants, building donor networks, orchestrating large-scale events, managing international program operations, and establishing organizational vision, strategic direction, and budgets. In 2020, I led efforts and projects recognized with the David Rubenstein Library of Congress Award, and in 2021, work acknowledged by the Barbara Bush Foundation Dyer Pearl Award.
