I have worked in many areas of healthcare and higher education. I love providing opportunities to learn. I have been asked many times why, after spending so much time, energy, and money on graduate education, why would go into the area of finance? Because of having a learning and development background and studying the urban perspective, I fully understand the social context of the middle class; some may know this as main street. My studies of theoretical models and how the development of the individual within the family and societal systems created an understanding of the needs of many. The nature and significance of those who need to learn a different approach to planning, implementing, and to evaluate the impact of socioeconomic status especially in financial planning. Change needs to occur inside this adult population within the Main Street dimension. Utilizing, learning, and understanding financial principles and applications and having the mechanism by which I can help others take charge of their financial destiny.
