ABOUT MICHELA MIGLIO

I am a Bachelor’s student in International Politics and Government at Bocconi University and my primary interest lies in how the defense sector is shaped by the interaction between public institutions and private actors: from the role of antitrust policy and M&A in structuring markets, to how corporate strategy and private capital can enhance national and European defense capabilities. I gained direct experience in defense industrial policy during my internship at the Italian Ministry of Enterprises, where I have also contributed to work on Golden Power regulations in strategic sectors. I co-founded VOYCE, a pan-European think tank where I lead the Defence Commission, and Praesidium, a defense and cybersecurity magazine launched with a former Army General.These experiences taught me to lead, perform under pressure, but above all, they taught me what commitment means. I believe in responsibility, merit, honesty, and in bringing passion to everything I do. The times require both public and private actors to embrace a shared vision to safeguard Europe’s security, and I intend to contribute to this process.
