I\'m in charge of researching, designing, and implementing the company\'s IT solutions. I report to the Vice President of Administration about ongoing and completed projects and provide her with quotes and IT budgets.MY ACHIEVEMENTS: Migrated the company from the very expensive inefficient third-party managed HPE SimpliVity VMWare HCI to a more efficient inhouse managed Dell’s Azure-Stack Hyper-V HCI. Not only has this transition increased productivity by more than 100%, it has also cut IT management costs and budget by more than half. Researched and migrated the company from Unitrends backup recovery system to a fully in-house managed efficient and cost-saving Nakivo backup/recovery system. Designed and built the company’s current remote desktop services servers, gateways and VPNs with redundancy, with much emphasis on consolidation, company integration and teleworking. Upgraded the company’s 1gb network backbone to 10gb backbone. I also redesigned and rebuilt the company’s current network and incorporated redundancy and HA across all critical points of the network. Rebuilt the company’s Windows GPOs from scratch as their existing GPOs were giving them a lot of issues due to orphan and overlapping policies created by third-party companies they contracted to manage their datacenter in the past. Seamlessly migrated the company from server 2012 to server 2022, windows 7 to windows 10. Migrated the company from desktop PCs to a more energy efficient and cost saving thin clients. Migrated the company from on-premises AD and Microsoft Exchange to Microsoft Azure cloud. Migrated the company from SpearTip to Artic Wolf security/monitoring system. Redesigned and upgraded the Fargo Datacenter (Headquarters) to tier3: I worked with contracted electricians in rewiring, redesigning and reinstalling our utility power system to tier3 standard. I also researched and installed our current tier3 3-phase UPSs and ATSs system.
