Sawtry S278 New Services (£1.6m)Construction of a road junction/entrance to a brand new highway services. Improvements on existing roads, including road widening, a signalised junction, construction of new footpaths, road surfacing, lighting and a road sign upgrade.A new signalised junction, dedicated turning lanes to new services beside the A1(M) in Cambridgeshire.Danaher & Walsh’s completion of the project 3 months sooner through work acceleration.The supply chain was adaptable to deliver all work packages during a shorter programme. The successful completion of the S278 works ahead of the official opening ensured the site was fully operational in time for the launch of the new services.
