ABOUT MICHAŁ REMER
The experience garnered during internships, current work and during my role as a team leader has not only improved my interpersonal and communication skills. Still, it has also made me keen on combining my interests with work. My master thesis was devoted to the hydrophobicity issue, and I am continuing this work for the PhD study. My bachelor thesis prepared during the Erasmus exchange at RWTH Aachen University was devoted to scramjet simulations in various configurations and conditions of flight. This sort of work seemed to be challenging and demanded programming abilities in different environments (C++/Fortran). Studying and living in two other countries prepared me to adapt to a new environment and increased my independence. Internships at the Automotive Industry Institute and my current position at Warsaw University of Technology provided me with broad knowledge of laboratory work. I was working at all stages, starting from market research, design, construction and testing of test stands. During my internship at General Electric and my current work, I have broadened my knowledge of CFD simulations (Ansys) and programming (e.g. LabView, Matlab), which is helpful in projects that are ongoing in the Aerodynamics Laboratory at Warsaw University of Technology.
