At Baylor, I teach business communication. Students animate my conceptions of writing as we continually re-imagine what it means to write, to persuade, to communicate. Together, we recognize that communicating effectively means taking every opportunity to humanize our message. My research interests bring my writing and teaching roles together: I study ways to support learning about writing and communication, such as bringing emotional intelligence to the classroom and to teams.
