ABOUT MICHAL ELIAS-BACHRACH

I am a Master\'s level Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a second Master\'s in public health from The Ohio State University. I am also a Certified Health Education Specialist and a Certified Health and Wellness Coach. I have extensive experience working with youth in a medical as well as a school setting, and I often work with at-risk and hard to reach youth. Engaging youth is critical to making an impact in their lives, and I am passionate about engaging youth across the spectrum of diversity. The work I do is brief and skills based to help get kids and families back on track with their mental and behavioral health. I utilize motivational interviewing to understand the perspective and motivation of the clients in front of me, as well as CBT, DBT, and SFBT to teach clients skills and help them craft individual goals for their future. No two clients are alike, and so no two interventions are alike either. I love working in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment where I can learn from others and work together to best support our clients from a holistic perspective. Helping youth get started on the right track as they enter young adulthood, whether looking at health behaviors or managing a chronic mental health concern, can have far reaching impacts. Nothing is more rewarding!
