Michail is an experienced electrical power system engineer with extensive knowledge of various aspects of power system analysis and modelling with experience in offshore wind, HVDC systems, renewable energy sector and transmission system planning. He has considerable experience in the design and grid integration of offshore wind farm projects including steady state and dynamic analysis. He is currently leading the development of dynamic analysis and control optimization domain for offshore wind farm projects. He is currently a lead specialist and advisor on complex power system design matters related to the dynamic expertise domain. He also has specialist knowledge in power quality and substantial experience in harmonic analysis and harmonic filter design studies for HVDC transmission systems.Michail is experienced in a range of industry-standard modelling and simulation packages, including: DigSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®E, PSCAD, EMTP-ATP, PSS®SINCAL, and Python. He has specialist experience in power system modelling tools as well as in the development of Python automation tools. Michail is professionally recognized and registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) which is a protected engineering title in the UK. He is currently working as a Lead Power System Engineer - Offshore Wind in Ørsted Germany GmbH based in Hamburg, Germany.
