About Michael Ziemer

During the first 5 years of my career, I was helping individuals and business owners with their accounting needs. I began my career at Schenck SC working in the tax department preparing mostly corporate and individual taxes. From there I switched career paths and joined the Business Services department at Schenck and started working on the financial aspect of the business as well as the tax aspect. I then went to work at Fox Valley CPAs providing clients with guidance relating to accounting, taxation, payroll and everyday business transactions. I then took on a role at Appvion, Inc. as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. A significant portion of that position related to SEC reporting. I helped prepare the 10-K and 10-Q\'s and get them filed with the SEC. I was also responsible for closing out and reconciling over 90 balance sheet accounts at month end. I was involved with Appvion\'s hedge accounting, accounts receivable securitization, debt accounting, as well as many other tasks. After working with the reporting/accounting team for a year, I moved over to the finance team and handled the daily/monthly/annual financial duties for one of Appvion\'s locations. This ranged from reviewing daily work orders, closing the books at month end, to preparing the annual budget.I am currently part of the team at Trilliant Food and Nutrition as the FP & A Manager. My focus here is on internal reporting to our Business Leadership Team, as well as external reporting to our lenders and investors. The team and I have updated our financial reporting tools to help understand what is driving the results, from a department level to an entity level.
