About Michaelyn Miyagishima
Growing up a native San Franciscan, I have always been interested in the interplay between urban design and the impacts the built environment places on our natural environment. With experience in project management, operations, and corporate social responsibility, I have been working towards understanding how big business can help create sustainable futures, focusing on ideas revolving around health and wellness, financial success, and positive environmental impacts.By completing UC Berkeley\'s Master of Real Estate Development and Design, I have analyzed the importance of various societal, environmental, and economic impacts of design and ultimately work towards developing more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous real estate. Before attending UC Berkeley, I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, majoring in Art History with emphases in Architecture and Environmental Studies.

Currently working as owner representation and consultant for real estate projects and development management. Specialties include ground up office development and life sciences (lab) and office tenant improvement (TI) build outs. Experience in due diligence efforts, preconstruction and design services, procurement, construction, establishment and execution of project requirements, and oversight of timely project completion.Michaelyn has managed oversight of over 1.8M SF of ground-up development (office) and 20+ Interior Tenant Improvement build outs (office and life sciences) from preconstruction and design to project completion. Responsibilities include evaluating qualitative program aspects with owner, verifying program conformance and project goals, and procurement of project services. She also oversees design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure contractual compliance with project specifications and standards. Michaelyn initiates and manages project budgets and schedules by analyzing financial vitality and anticipation of project changes, and monitors compliance throughout the life cycle of a project. Additional projects include redevelopment, asset management, and capital expenditures including base building improvements, C&S modifications, mechanical upgrades, facilities management, amenities projects, and site and landscaping improvements.
