There is a direct correlation between service, relationship building, and numbers in business. My job is to help you maximize it. Love, which has many forms, is the foundation of all things, especially relationships because it is grown through trust. Trust is an area of life that takes focused effort to build, and a single careless action to break. As leaders, we need to ensure trust is strong from top to bottom.Living a life of service requires high-level discipline, strong character and humility, which are core traits of a successful leader. C-Suite professionals and managers alike often focus on profitability margins and numbers-centric performance metrics. However, what if I told you a company’s books are a direct result of the level of trust throughout the organization. Typically, this area is attributed to workplace culture, but it is deeper than core values and mission statements. The root word “cor-” usually carries a connotation of “central” or other related terms. It actually means “heart.” In essence, core values are beliefs inscribed on the heart. When leaders recognize that, surround themselves with people of integrity and solid character, and live the values, that’s when their leadership is maximized and organizations see elite-level success. As a financial leader and athletics coach, my experience marries these ideals which provides spaces to serve clients and student-athletes. In a business setting, my specialty is evaluating the numbers to help companies grow profitably with market focus and improving customer value. On the field, my driving message is instilling excellent character, developing and preparing young men for competitive environments, and maximizing their performance. Relationships drive outcomes.
