I have written and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications and have deep experience protecting software, electro-mechanical and complex mechanical inventions. I also counsel clients with branding strategies in the selection of new product names and logos, along with the enforcement of those rights through litigation. I manage and oversee domestic and foreign trademark prosecution efforts and counsels clients on copyright issues.As a former software engineer, my practice has a strong emphasis on legal issues surrounding software. In addition to counseling on patent issues arising from software development, I provide advice on risk management in the use, distribution and contribution to open source projects.
