ABOUT MICHAEL WALSH
I have been in education for 25 years and engaged in a variety of experiences. I began my career as a substitute teacher and taught at the elementary level and the middle school level for nine years.I graduated from an administrative mentoring program sponsored by Greenville Public Schools and received my Master\'s degree from GVSU. Once I received my degree I obtained a position as Assistant Principal at Greenville Middle School.Sixteen years ago I was appointed to the position of Principal at Baldwin Heights Elementary School in Greenville Public Schools. My goals in this position have been to increase student achievement while working to create a positive culture among staff, students, parents, and the surrounding community.We were able to turn student achievement around from being a Focus School to a Reward School in 2019. Since then I\'ve also received my Central Office endorsement for my administrative certificate by completing the Horizon Leadership Academy through the MASA.
