ABOUT MICHAEL TABIRADE

I\'m a Strategy and Programme Consultant with over 15 years delivering complex transformation programmes across the NHS and public sector, and three years as a Trustee and Risk and Finance Committee Chair at the Institute of Leadership. These two worlds give me a rare dual perspective. I understand what it takes to deliver operationally inside large, complex NHS environments, and I understand what it means to govern, scrutinise, and strengthen a membership organisation from the board level down. In the NHS, I lead high-stakes digital and data transformation programmes where governance, stakeholder alignment, and delivery rigour are non-negotiable. My work has spanned NHS England, UKHSA, NHSX, and University Hospital Southampton, covering cancer data federation, secure data environments, digital child health, and public health transformation. In the membership sector, my focus is strategy and organisational performance. As Risk & Finance Committee Chair at the Institute of Leadership, I oversee a healthy investment portfolio, lead financial risk governance, and work with the CEO and board on strategic direction, financial sustainability, and membership growth. I know what poor governance costs an organisation and what strong strategic clarity unlocks. My consulting work sits across three interconnected areas: strategy development and review, governance and risk, and transformation delivery. Whether an organisation needs to clarify its direction, strengthen its governance structures, or get a complex programme back on track, that is the territory I operate in. I also support aspiring and independent consultants who want to build credible, sustainable portfolio careers. I work with NHS programme leads who need senior programme delivery support, and membership body executives who need strategic clarity, stronger governance and risk management, or better organisational performance.
