About Michael Strapp

I am a trial lawyer who handles high-stakes intellectual property disputes with an emphasis on patent litigation. My practice spans a range of different technologies but includes a focus on cases involving computer software and electronics.I have nearly 25 years of experience litigating patent, trade secret, trademark and copyright cases before federal and state trial and appellate courts, including in all key jurisdictions throughout the country. Over my career, my patent practice has included more than 120 cases in U.S. District Courts and the International Trade Commission. I have served as first-chair counsel in cases in California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Nevada, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, and argued before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.I have been recognized by Chambers and Partners as an \'\'excellent\'\' litigator whose \"attention to underlying technology impresses clients,\" and named by Patexia as one of the best-performing patent litigators in the United States.In addition to litigation, I serve as a key business partner to a wide range of companies, including start-ups and large enterprises.
