ABOUT MICHAEL SLOAN

Hi I\'m Michael Sloan, and I am a team and project leader with a wide range of experience and knowledge within the materials handling industry(s). My primary focus has been on sophisticated systems and processes that include concepting, planning, development, installation, implementation, operations and continued system viability and improvements. I started my career in the field with hands-on experience of installation, integration, maintenance and customer services. I progressed into site management of all aspects of integrated systems and transitioned into developing/managing the sales of service and maintenance accounts. I founded an installation service and consulting company for five years. Following this I received a great opportunity to go back into site management where I focused on implementing large-scale projects; my current focus being a $320M parcel project. My primary experience has been in the materials handling space with a focus on parcel, distribution, E-commerce, production, and manufacturing systems. I have experience in all phases of systems and operations ranging from design-build, installation, implementation, training, day-to-day operations, continued services and consulting. I have worked in a wide range of operational and customer account positions with a variety of end-users, ranging from manual processing facilities to the most advanced and rapidly changing systems and technology centers. I’m the kind of person that’s always trying to learn, “do”, experience, and be more. I believe in constant small improvements and regular re-evaluation of current practices (Kaizen). I believe when we focus on the quality of the deliverables, the end results are measurable, consistent, and dependable. Knowing that change is universal, it is how we approach the change that matters and when it really counts and must get done, I am the one you ask. I’d like to mention, I happen to be Dyslexic! That may not be obvious in the written words above. This is in thanks to editing tools and individuals helping me with the grammar, spelling, and other aspects of writing.
