About Michael Schmahl
I spent 20+ years in enterprise finance software - selling predictive, forward-looking cash flow tools to CFOs and corporate Treasurers. Every product I sold gave large organizations a clear picture of where their money was going and when. When evaluating personal finance apps (I\'ve tried several), nothing came close. Personal finance tools show you what already happened. They track the past - spending categories, account balances, last month\'s totals. What they don\'t tell you is what lies ahead. I built aiSmartBudget to fill that gap. It works the way a GPS works. It knows where you are, it knows where you want to go, and it recalculates in real time when life changes the route. Your income, your bills, your irregular expenses, your savings goals - all modeled together, projected forward, and explained in plain language. The platform is built for three types of people: those working to smooth out their cash flow and start building an emergency savings fund; those challenged to pay down debt strategically; and those saving for a major life event, like buying a first home. Whatever your situation, our tool gives you a clear picture of what\'s possible and what it takes to get there. aiSmartBudget launches to a Friends and Family group in May 2026, with a broader commercial launch planned for July 6, 2026. If you\'re building in personal finance, working in FinTech, or just curious about what forward-looking financial intelligence looks like for households - I\'d enjoy the connection.

Founder & CEO
Jan 2026 — Present · Bend, OR, US
Building an AI-powered personal finance platform that gives individuals the same forward-looking cash flow intelligence that enterprise treasury teams rely on. aiSmartBudget projects income, bills, and savings goals into the future - showing users not just where their money went, but where it is going. It works like a GPS for your finances: it knows where you are, where you want to go, and it recalculates when life changes the route. The platform serves three primary profiles: people looking to smooth their monthly cash flow and start building an emergency savings fund; people challenged to pay down debt strategically; and people saving for a major life goal, like buying a first home. Friends and Family launch: May, 2026. General launch: July 6, 2026.
