About Michael J. Sanduski
I’m a builder/operator at heart, with over a decade of experience at the intersection of finance, real estate, and renewable energy. From helping commercial real estate scale up on-site clean energy to serving as an investment banker to some of the nation’s largest infrastructure projects, I am driven by the belief that capital can be a powerful lever for a better tomorrow. Currently, I lead business development at Lumen Energy, a clean energy technology company dedicated to profitably decarbonizing our built environment. I support many of the nation’s premier institutional commercial real estate platforms—including Nuveen, Tishman Speyer, and The Michaels Organization—in unlocking meaningful financial outcomes through deploying on-site solar, batteries, and EV charging. I’m especially excited about leveraging innovative finance in securing America’s energy future. Prior to Lumen, I was an investment banker at Citigroup, where I raised over $10 billion for groundbreaking infrastructure projects, ranging from the Mario Cuomo Bridge in New York State to Terminal One at San Francisco International Airport. I also led capital markets, treasury, and structured finance activities at Aura, a $350 million consumer lending platform providing responsible credit. I hold an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College where I was named an Edward Tuck Scholar with Distinction and an MPA from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
