Michael has been a Partner with Thorntons since His areas of expertise include the acquisition, disposal and merger of various types of organisation, in both public and private sectors. Michael also has expertise in drafting, review and implementation of commercial contracts, the structuring of companies, corporate and other finance arrangements, and advice in relation to charity law.Michael heads up the Healthcare Team within Thorntons and has significant experience in advising health professionals, with a particular focus on dentists and GPs, and is a member of the Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists, the National Association of Specialist Dental Accountants and Lawyers, and the National Association of Specialist Solicitors Advising Doctors.He regularly provides articles for Scottish dental publications, and presents at a number of professional conferences. Michael is a Band 1 Ranked Lawyer for Healthcare in Chambers & Partners and as a Key Lawyer for Health in Legal 500. He was the winner of the Professional Adviser Award at the Scottish Dental Show Awards 2019.
