ABOUT MICHAEL ROGERS
I’m a pragmatic IT operations leader in the charity and non-profit sector, with a track record of making the unglamorous parts of IT work smoothly at scale. As Head of IT Operations at Change Grow Live, I’m responsible for keeping a large national estate running: service desk, field engineering, endpoint and asset management, implementations and supplier relationships, so frontline teams can focus on delivering services. In recent years I have focused on getting control of the fundamentals: device lifecycle, joiner and leaver processes, asset visibility, supplier value and practical risk reduction. That work has delivered meaningful savings on laptops and smartphones, stronger controls around lost or unreturned kit, and clearer, more honest insight for executive leadership.Alongside my full-time role, I undertake a small amount of independent, out-of-hours IT consulting for small charities and SMEs that do not have a dedicated IT lead but rely heavily on laptops, mobiles and Microsoft 365. The work is intentionally light-touch and practical: short, clearly scoped reviews of how devices and access are managed, with straightforward recommendations that are easy to act on.All advisory work is delivered in my own time, using my own resources, and is not carried out on behalf of my employer.
