   Reviewed purchase orders in Oracle Financials module, entered supplier information and ran monthly reports to determine status of contract expiration dates. Identified need for contract renewal, termination, and/or re-negotiation and send out quarterly reminders. Prepared Requests for Quotation (RFQs) solicitation documents, analyzed vendor responses, prepared support documentation and accepted the lowest bids up to Prepared purchase orders, ensuring that all necessary approvals, specifications/documentation for given actions are requested, obtained and properly filed. Performed all procurement administrative functions including but not limited to answering phones, maintaining the file system and responding to routine correspondence. Assisted higher level Buyers with routine procurement activities including but not limited to reviewing and observing market conditions and following mergers, acquisitions, consolidations and market developments through seminars, courses, purchasing meetings, publications and periodicals. Tracking shortages, surpluses, and price fluctuations. Interviewed vendors to gain information of their new products, and market conditions, changes and availability. Solicited quotations from minority/women owned enterprises in support of PGW’s policy of increasing M/WBE participation levels. Conducted analyses to ascertain better and more cost-efficient purchasing processes and practices, such as purchasing versus leasing versus renting, etc. Consolidated requisitions from a variety of company areas for the same or similar items into blanket purchase orders to take advantage of volume discounts and reduced costs.
