Michael Barrett is an experienced compliance professional with and extensive background detecting, investigating and eradicating fraud, waste and abuse. Michael currently serves as a Senior Compliance Manager, Federal Government at Cerner Corporation, where is is responsible for the creation and implementation of an audit plan to ensure compliance with Federal client contract(s), and assisting in other areas of compliance in collaboration with other stakeholders. Before joining Cerner, Michael served as the Director for Global Incident Response and Investigations at Teleperformance, a world leader in omnichannel customer experience management. He was responsible for driving compliance with Teleperformance\'s Incident Response process and, along with his team, managed investigations related to compliance, privacy, security and ethics issues in over 60 countries. He also worked with senior management in those countries to ensure solutions are in place to prevent future incidents.Before joining Teleperformance, Michael spent 17 years with the Inspector General\'s Office of HHS fighting fraud, waste and abuse by evaluating Federal and State programs\' compliance with federal health care laws and regulations. Michael is also an attorney specializing in health law issues.
