About Michael Pirnie

A native of Nebraska, Michael ventured to see the world before coming back home. He studied in China for a year; taught English in Taiwan for a year as a Fulbright Scholarship recipient; and worked in New York City for three years as a member of Teach for America and as an Leadership for Educational Equity Policy and Advocacy Fellow at the New York City Department of Education. Following almost five years working in education, Michael pursued a law degree at the University of Virginia School of Law where he worked to develop competency in business and the law through the school’s Law and Business Program. Today, Michael is thrilled to work in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska at HDR, a local, employee-owned company.
