   Nevada Beer Project

   Jan 2008 — Present · NV, US

   Established an organization to help build Nevada\'s craft brewing industry and beer loving community. The goals: unite the brewers, grow the customer base, and increase sales and public awareness with advertising, marketing and by producing large special events. During the first 3 years several festivals were created which are still held annually. Lee\'s Beer Experience, New Vista\'s Brew\'s Best Beer Festival, and the Springs Preserve Brews and Blues now generate hundreds of thousands of dollars for their charities while promoting great beers. The initial elements of the \"NBP\" coordination structure were: • The Nevada Brew Crew (.com) united in 2006 to support and grow Nevada’s beer festival scene by organizing a volunteer staff trained, certified and ready to serve at local events.• The Nevada Beer Lovers (.com) was founded in 2007 to provide a calendar service for the Las Vegas and Reno areas to publicize and coordinate dates for all events and festivals produced by local bars, breweries, and special event companies. To date, the \"NBL\" calendars have listed over 1900 craft beer events. Join today and get email invites!• The Nevada Brewers Guild (.com) formed in 2009 to organize a network for Nevada\'s established and future breweries. The focus of the \"NBG\" was to unite the breweries and associates, provide group advertising, and to create the Nevada state brand for nationwide promotion. In late 2012, the NBG evolved into the Nevada Craft Brewers Association to focus on legislation efforts, and Nevada Craft Beer (.com) to continue promoting Nevada\'s overall craft beer industry.The largest endeavor was the Nevada Beer Weeks celebration held each May in conjunction with American Craft Beer Week. 2015 was the 5th and final year of this statewide effort promoting individual events held at breweries, brewpubs, bars, restaurants and retailers to support and strengthen Nevada’s craft beer community.(note: too soon!).
