Primary Responsibilities:1. Quality Assurance Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practices tailored to transit-related technology systems.Define test plans, test cases, and testing methodologies for enterprise applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, project managers, vendors, operations) to integrate QA into the project lifecycle.2. Testing OversightLead the end-to-end testing process including unit, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).Oversee and participate in manual testing efforts for transit systems.Validate data integrity and performance across real-time and batch systems, including GPS data, mobile apps, and APIs.3. Team LeadershipMentor and supervise QA analysts, testers, and contractors.Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.Coordinate cross-team testing efforts during large-scale system upgrades or deployments.4. Collaboration & CommunicationAct as the primary QA liaison between internal departments (e.g, Operations, Customer Service, Maintenance) and technology vendors.Attend project meetings, provide QA status reports, and raise risks or defects.Facilitate UAT sessions with internal stakeholders and ensure business requirements are validated.5. ToolsManage QA tools and environments, including test automation frameworks and defect tracking systems (Open Text, JIRA, TestRail).Evaluate and recommend tools to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.6. Defect & Risk ManagementLog, track, and prioritize defects across all stages of testing.Work with development teams to resolve issues and perform root cause analysis.Ensure critical transit systems meet uptime, reliability, and safety requirements before go-live.7. ComplianceEnsure compliance with agency standards and ADA requirements.Maintain clear documentation for test cases, test results, QA procedures, and system validations.
